GST invoice vs quotation vs proforma invoice

A quotation is usually an offer or estimate. A proforma invoice is a preliminary billing document. A final tax invoice must follow GST invoice rules and should be verified in your accounting/compliance workflow.

GST calculation example

For Rs 10,000 taxable value at 18% GST, GST is Rs 1,800. Intra-state split is CGST Rs 900 and SGST Rs 900. Inter-state tax is IGST Rs 1,800.

For exclusive pricing, GST is added on taxable value. For inclusive pricing, taxable value is reverse-calculated from the total. Intra-state uses CGST/SGST and inter-state uses IGST.

Does it support CGST/SGST and IGST?

Yes. Choose intra-state for CGST and SGST split, or inter-state for IGST.

Does it generate IRN/e-invoice?

No. It does not generate IRN, e-invoice JSON, e-way bill or portal filing output.

Can I add HSN/SAC codes?
