Accuracy Policy & Editorial Standards

GST rules change. Our goal is to keep tools and directories accurate, explain assumptions clearly, and correct issues fast when reported.

Last reviewed: Jan 26, 2026

Source-first

We reference official circulars/notifications and portal guidance wherever applicable.

Regular review

High-traffic tools and compliance pages are reviewed periodically and updated when rules change.

Limitations

Tools provide estimates and workflow assistance; final filings should be verified.

What sources we use

  • CBIC GST portal updates and notifications: cbic-gst.gov.in
  • GST portal guidance (return tables, due dates, references): gst.gov.in
  • Acts/rules references (for interest/late fee logic and definitions).

How we verify tools

Before releasing major changes, we check outputs against known scenarios and common edge cases (rounding, intra/inter-state splits, table references, etc.). For complex cases, we recommend users verify with official portals or a CA.

Update cadence

We focus reviews on high-traffic pages and pages impacted by notifications or budget changes. Each tool page shows a “Last reviewed” marker.

Report an issue

If you find a mismatch or broken logic, email us with:

  • Expected vs actual result
  • Screenshot if possible

Tool limitations

Tools are designed for estimation, planning, and workflow assistance. They do not replace final computations on government portals. See Disclaimer.
